Rimac Standard Secret Fix Coping is manufactured from 1.5mm thick aluminium to BS1470 1050 H14 for use on walls up to 380mm wide. For walls of greater widths, contact our technical staff. Jointing sleeves and fixing clips are from extruded aluminium to BS6063 TE and are designed with ribs to provide strength and rigidity.

Copings can be supplied in standard mill finish, anodised, polyester powder coated or PVF2.

A variety of junction pieces is available to satisfy most design needs.

It is important to first identify fixing clips and jointing sleeves. Fixing clips are angled at 100 and jointing sleeves at 90.

Coping is supplied in 3000mm lengths with each length requiring four fixing clips which should be attached with screws, ideally stainless steel, at 750mm centres. The ends of a run can be cut to size as required.

A jointing sleeve should be inserted 50mm into the first length of coping with the waterproofing strips to the top. The coping is presented to the wall and pressed down firmly to spring under the bottom edge of fixing clips.

For additional security, the exposed part of the jointing sleeve can be fastened with screws.

A jointing sleeve is inserted into a second length of coping and the free end slid into the previously installed jointing sleeve leaving a suitable expansion gap.

The coping is then pressed into position as with the first length and fixing clips screwed down.

It is advised to fit corner pieces first and follow with standard lengths.

This process is repeated until completion.
